Applying for a Visa
Applying for a Visa
Students and staff are advised to apply for an F visa to China. Below are the basic documents required by the Chinese embassy but each embassy may have different requirements and a different time schedule to process your visa. We suggest that you contact your local Chinese Embassy or Consulate or visit the website at:
http://english.gov.cn/service/immigrating.htm for further information.
Checklist of documents required for your application
(1) A passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the date of application and with sufficient blank visa pages.
(2) One completed visa application form with a recently-taken passport photo attached; all the items on the application form should be completed neatly. If the applicant has a Chinese name the Chinese name should be filled in. False or incomplete information and illegible characters may lead to the refusal of a visa.
(3) A letter of invitation from The University of Nottingham Ningbo. UNNC will produce a letter from the details you give on your Registration Form and will email it to you.
(4) An applicant holding a passport other than their country of domicile’s passport should provide the original and a copy of his or her permanent residence or work permit which should be valid for at least half a year (except for those who are visa or permit exempt for residing or working in the UK).
