Welcome to the “Sustainable Manufacturing in China” Blog!
The Division of Engineering at the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China has been established in September 2008. The division maintains links to the leading manufacturing research centres of the University of Nottingham, UK guaranteeing a bi-directional flow of knowledge. The development of an outstanding research infrastructure in the field of sustainable manufacturing in Ningbo is seen as a fundamental objective.
This blog aims at giving an overview of the activities of the Division of Engineering with regard to sustainability in manufacturing considering latest developments in China. The overriding aim of the division is to pursue excellence within academic outputs and industrial collaborations in the field of sustainable manufacturing. In that context, the truly international strategy of the University of Nottingham having campuses in China, Malaysia, and the UK, provides unique opportunities.
To start the blog we have compiled a few articles containing interesting reports on research and industrial institutions, and events that have been visited in China, predominantly Ningbo but also other places, e.g. Shanghai.
