Earth Hour 2010
I had joined the Earth Hour movement by announcing it on this blog (in one of the widget text boxes on the right side) and in the past I had indeed switched off all lights for Earth Hour. Now, I have to admit I did not do or notice anything special this year.
Also the UNNC campus intended to join. This year the Provost when informing all members of staff included a range of energy saving tips and a reference to the Nottingham ‘GoGreener’ campaign. I heard that our students also planned something special.
That is why I would like to ask for two favours:
- - Perhaps someone could send me photos of UNNC’s involvement
- - It would be great if we at UNNC could use the momentum and think about switching off a range of lights during the night (e.g. the corridor lights in the AB building or some of the streetlights on campus).
